🔒 Privacy First Approach
SuperFolders is built with privacy as a core principle. By default, all your documents, search queries, and AI analysis happen entirely on your Mac. Nothing is sent to our servers or third parties.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how SuperFolders ("we", "our", or "the Software") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
2. Information We DO NOT Collect (Default Mode)
When using SuperFolders in its default configuration, we DO NOT collect, process, or have access to:
- Your Documents: All files you index remain on your Mac
- Search Queries: Your searches are processed locally and never transmitted; any anonymized tensor representations used for diagnostics are not human-readable
- Document Content: File contents are analyzed on your device only
- File Names or Metadata: We don't see what files you're indexing
- Usage Patterns: We don't track what you search for or how you use the app
3. Local Data Storage
SuperFolders stores the following data locally on your Mac only:
- Document Indexes: Vector embeddings and text chunks created from your documents
- Application Settings: Your preferences, selected folders, and configuration
- Cache Files: Temporary data to improve performance
- AI Models: Language and embedding models downloaded for local processing
Important: All this data remains on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
